Fin Whales and Porpoise Moms in the Islands
Hey Art, sorry it's been so long since I have sent an update from Quoddy Link, the tourists have all shown up since the sun has been shining!
Just wanted to let you know we had a fin whale today at the end of the flood in the Happy Hunting Ground between Nubble and White Island and on the ebb we have had a few different fins off the mouth of Head Harbour Passage.
The porpoise numbers are great in the Passage and we are seeing quite a few cow/calf pairs. There are great numbers of Bonaparte's gulls, I haven't seen the phalaropes in about a week.
That's all for now,
Cheers,
Danielle
