Quoddy Beauty from Brian

Many years ago, my ecology prof referred to the "ability to see" as "der augenblick",  a special talent that he variously described as "the moment"," the blink of the eye", or a "talent of sight"; always conveying someone who has the ability to see and perceive beyond the norm. Well, I declare that Brian has der augenblick!

Hi Art,
I got some interesting portraits of my flippered friends off Casco Bay Island today.  Also some Eiders and an un-posed still life of a log washed up on our beach.

Harbour Seal and Eagle in Digedequash Basin

Took a quick run into Digedeguash Basin on the way back from St. George. There was one eagle and a half-dozen or so crows on the kill near the falls.

On the way back out, I spotted this Harbour Seal laying on the ice near the bottom of the Basin. Kinda strange spot for this time of year. Also 3 deer crossed the road in front of me near the main highway
