We're getting reports of Spring Peepers starting their annual spring courtship along our Quoddy shores. How about helping us with this survey and letting us know when and where you first hear yours. Also Wood Frogs. We will be trying to map their occurrence and timing as part of our ILQW monitoring program.
Send your photos and info to artmackay.ilovequoddywild at blogger.com.
Thanks, Art

** A first report of vocalizing SPRING PEEPERS [Rainette crucifère] locally at 10 pm on Tuesday night Alain Clavette heard peepers calling from a small pond in front of the Co-op store in Dieppe. Alain comments that he has not heard any WOOD FROG [Grenouille des bois] yet. Dave Christie reported the first WOOD FROG late last week from their Mary's Pt. Yard pond.

Both the Woodfrogs and the Spring Peepers have been in full chorus for the last two evenings, from woodland pools and the pond respectively.
