Also Guilty

I am another person guilty of not including a thumbprint. Blame the images of the Campobello aerial composite, feathers and wedges, mystery object, purple fringed orchis, Calopogan, mystery object, and barred owl on HLB of the Roosevelt Campobello International Park.

Attached are images of two shoreline plants. Oyster leaf (Mertensia maritima) grows in gravel and rocky areas and is also called seaside-bluebells and Mertensia. Growing near the high-tide line at Lower Duck Pond, its bluish-grey leaves, pink buds and blue blossoms make it easy to identify. The plant's younger leaves are said to taste like oysters.

On Campobello's Liberty Point, harebell (Campanula rotundifolia) grows in rock crevices. Its leaves often wither before its violet to blue flowers open. Harebell can also be found on beaches and in dry meadows.
