On "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening"

Some special pics for Audrey (and other friends) in the big city.

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep, ..."

We started off down the lane we planted nearly 40 years ago 15 minutes before sundown, at Golden Hour, so it was quite dark by the time we worked our way along our northside trail through the woods and got under the big hemlocks near the cabin. Another dark front had rolled in too, so it was quite gloomy but very quiet, except for the thumping of my heart, and very peaceful. "The only other sounds the sweep of easy wind and downy flake."

After shooting a few pics of the cabin and the dogs I lay back in the snow, looking up, and probably should have just stayed there! I can't think of a nicer place to be, and the snow was very soft and welcoming, Mamie and Cindy, departed doggy friends, were "resting" nearby.

"But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep."

Tim (and Robert Frost)
