I and a friend took the Eastport-to-Deer Island ferry, and back, today. On the way to Deer Island we saw a juvenile and an adult minke whale several times, along with numerous harbour porpoise, and seals. On the return to Eastport, we again saw one minke and harbour porpoise and a seal.
The minkes were between Indian Island and Dog Island, nearer Indian Island.
