Spruce Grouse, Campobello

About 20 minutes after speaking with two Alabama birdwatchers about seeing a spruce grouse on the Glensevern Road separating Herring Cove Provincial Park and Roosevelt Campobello International Park, the female and chicks were back at the road’s edge ‘dusting’ to rid themselves of insects. The shot of two of the four chicks is not the clearest, but it was the first time I have seen young spruce grouse.
