Sparrow hunting hawk, Campobello, mid April

A sharpshin hawk cruising the bushes for sparrows that drink at a culvert nearby. The hawk flies low over the culvert ready to plunge if it sees a sparrow. He or she did not see me until afterward, when it took a brief rest.
