Old Sow Whirlpool to be featured on the History Channel Sunday

"Underwater Universe: The Seven Deadly Seas" to air Sunday, August 16: Local Whirlpool Featured - The History Channel repeats showing its recent program featuring Passamaquoddy Bay's Old Sow Whirlpool, "Underwater Universe: The Seven Deadly Seas." Included in the program are Eastport residents Robert Godfrey of the Old Sow Whirlpool Survivors' Association, and Paul Critchley, who relates his close call with the vortex.
Old Sow is the largest whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere, including a vortex measuring at least 230-feet in diameter, and is one of five significant whirlpools in the world.
